On April 23, 2026, we welcomed six enthusiastic students to LWT as part of the nationwide Girls’ Day. Under the exciting theme “Off to the Lab: Become a Materials Scientist for a Day!”, they had the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and gain insights into the fascinating world of materials science and engineering.
The students separated, prepared, and analyzed samples under a light microscope—a real glimpse into scientific work! Our goal is to break down traditional gender roles and inspire young women to pursue careers in science and technology. We are thrilled by the tremendous interest and are already looking forward to welcoming students back next year. A big thank you to all the participants and to everyone who made this day possible!
