In recent years, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has developed outstanding expertise in the innovative technology of 3D printing, covering the entire process chain. Additive manufacturing enables the production of complex components with high precision and many other advantages, such as material savings. The newly founded Center of Competence Additive Manufacturing (COCAM@RUB) offers feasibility and research studies as well as services for additive manufacturing in the areas of product concept, design, process, quality, downstream processes, and marketing.
