From October 8 to 10, 2025, the 59th Metallography Conference of the DGM took place at the event center of the Ruhr University Bochum. Among the approximately 250 participants were several speakers from the LWT, who reported on current research questions and their answers using metallographic methods. Individual contributions were published in a special issue of the journal “Praktische Metallografie” (Practical Metallography).
