The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) has approved the establishment of a new Collaborative Research Center (SFB) dealing with the reuse of existing structures. Prof. Dr. Peter Mark from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at RUB is the spokesperson for the SFB. Together with Prof. Dr. Daniel Balzani, the LWT is involved with a sub-project focusing on the residual load-bearing capacity of concrete steels from existing structures.
