AI-MSE

On November 22 and 23, the AI MSE (Artificial Intelligence in Materials Science and Engineering) took place in Saarbrücken, Germany, where Santiago Benito, research group leader at the LWT, presented a lecture on advanced workflows for the characterization of microstructures. The two-day conference, organized as a hybrid event, served as an exchange forum for the more than 200 participants who joined the discussions either on site or from home. In total, more than 100 presentations could be followed either on site at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence in Saarbrücken or digitally.

The program covered the application of the latest AI and mathematical analysis tools in materials science and engineering, including microstructure analysis, material discovery and optimization.
