We are pleased to be able to offer our students the newly designed lecture "Materials: Fundamentals and Applications" starting in the upcoming summer semester.

With this teaching concept, materials science teaching is to be realigned and linked with research components and sustainability. To this end, the application of materials will be dealt with on the basis of a complex product, a modern e-bicycle. This will be broken down into its components and then examined by means of "reverse engineering". In conjunction with EduPack, the focus will be on material families, material selection, manufacturing processes, LCA, microstructures and properties.

The lecture is called "Materials: Fundamentals and Application" and is held by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Weber. It is aimed at students of the following bachelor's degree programs:

B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, 1st/2nd semester
B.Sc. Environmental Engineering, 2nd/4th semester
B.Sc. Sales Engineering and Product Management, 1st/2nd semester
